About me
Hi, My name is Fran and I hold an OCN level 3 diploma in dog grooming.
I own and manage DogzBody Spa in Manchester and I offer a luxury bespoke 1:1 service. I am lucky to have quite a bit of space that includes a luxurious reception area and fully enclosed undercover garden.
My love of grooming started with my first dog, Leo the Samoyed. Leo was a much loved member of the family who also happened to be a show dog. I competed at Crufts several times with him, achieving his stud book number before I sadly had to retire him due to early-onset arthritis at the tender age of 7. I was also the proud guardian of Cara the Siberian Husky who sadly passed early in 2023 from liver cancer. We currently live with a very handsome (and very large) Malamute x Great Pyrenees rescue boy called Indiana Bones. He is my pride and joy!
I'm a therapy dog assessor for Canine Concern and have a small team that carry out visits in various establishments (schools, hospitals, care homes etc) in the North West Manchester area.
I am also a licensed Canine Body Language Instructor for the Dog Training College and aim to offer workshops in the near future.
I have completed a Pet First Aid course and refresh my knowledge yearly.
My greatest industry achievement to date was working as Dog Grooming Assistant to Stuart Simons on the recent BBC hit show, 'Pooch Perfect.'
I enjoy grooming a variety of breeds and am continually undertaking further professional development and courses to improve my skills and knowledge. My passion is double coated breeds (specifically dry coated breeds such as Huskies, Malamutes and Samoyeds) and people travel distances to use my services. I have trained a small team of groomers who work within my salon. They are all highly experienced and qualified groomers also.

can’t thank the team enough for how wonderfully they treated my 11-year-old pug, Doug. He’s usually very wary of new people, especially when it comes to being picked up or having his nails done — things he really doesn’t enjoy. But the groomers here were so patient, gentle, and kind with him. This was Doug’s first ever proper groom, and I was nervous about how he’d cope, but they went above and beyond to make him feel safe and comfortable. He clearly felt so at ease — so much so that he didn’t even want to leave afterwards! It actually took a few treats to convince him to come home. It’s such a relief to know he was in good hands, and I’m so grateful for the care and attention the team gave him. Thank you for being so patient with Doug — we’ll definitely be back!
how amazing our huskie coats look and feel when they have had pampering at dogyzbody a brilliant team of groomers they are all very welcoming, and what a caring team they are - our dogs just love going one of our huskies who we adopted and is 7yrs old and has a mind of his own :-0, he can be very naughty at times a bit boisterous is an understatement but Fran and the girls took him on and they do a great job with long thick coat he always looks beautiful and smell absolutely amazing our girl ( well our old lady) is just glad to get in and get it over with as she only likes a pamper when she is in the mood ha ha but again the girls make her coat look and smell amazing especially after her deashed i would definitely recommend dogzbody spa to any one who is looking for a brilliant groomer for your fur babies your pets are truly looked after a pampered and spoilt o they cater for all breads and no job is to small or to big especially long haired huskies and their double coats great job and thank you for looking after our fur babies
