About me
Based in Medstead, Hampshire, Field and Country Grooming aims to provide a quality grooming service that's dedicated to making your dog look and feel their best. Fully insured and specialising in the grooming of gundogs and hand stripping we also provide grooming services to suit all breeds from Cockerpoos to German Shepherds. Whether that’s a wash and go, full groom to breed standard, pet trim or simply a nail trim we are focussed on making your dog’s groom a calm and pleasant experience, using only high-quality natural products in our modern grooming salon.
As an owner/breeder of Working Cocker Spaniels, I decided to swap my 25 year career in Marketing to fulfil my dream of becoming a professional dog groomer. Having trained with Barking Marvellous in Ewell, Surrey - I hold the iPET Network Level Three Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management and pet first aid certificate.

My little one had his first groom with Laura a few days back. I was recommended by many people before booking and wasn’t disappointed. He came out all pretty, fluffy tailed and smelt amazing. My little man seemed happy and even made a new friend. Great attention to detail and very professional, would recommend.

This was our second visit to Laura, both George & Su came out looking fantastic and smelling divine. They are contrasting in confidence and yet at collection time, the only reason they were staring out of the door was because it was dinner time. Su in particular makes a run for it if she's unhappy and she was content after the whole experience. George just loved hanging out with Laura and Salon Pup. Thanks again! and we'll see you soon.
Poppy looks and smells delightful, as always, following a visit to see Laura. Very happy to leave Poppy in Laura's care, would recommend highly.
Alfie always gets comments about how handsome he is and how great his coat is. Laura keeps him looking good! He’s not the most tolerant of young dogs but this isn’t a problem for Laura, she knows the WCS breed so well and gets him looking his absolute best. Thank you for another great groom, he smells like Christmas!
This was Juno’s second grooming session with Laura. To say that Juno enjoys her grooming sessions would be an understatement, having only been their once before she knew exactly where she was going and dragged me there tail wagging. Juno is an excitable 9 month old Cockapoo who loves all the attention and affection that Laura and her staff show her. She comes out looking so beautiful and fluffy and smelling lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Laura and her salon to groom any dog, indeed Juno is already booked in for her next grooming session already.
Nancy looked and smelt amazing after he trip to Field and Country Grooming! Such lovely people and customer service which certainly put my mind at ease leaving my (sometimes anxious) pup there for the afternoon. Would highly recommend!

I have only just moved to the area and my dog Millie is a very nervous dog. Millie has had the same groomer for the last 7 years so changing to a new groomer meant I had to trust they would take good care of her. Laura has been so helpful allowing me to visit without any grooming to build some trust with Millie where other groomers had not offered this at all. I feel Laura has built some trust with Millie and has since had s full groom. Today, Laura gave Millie’s nails a trim and a trim up around her face with no issues at all. Laura shows a lot of patients with nervous dogs and great understanding which has put my mind at rest. Millie will definitely be returning to Laura and the staff very soon.
Our 6-month old Cavapoo had his first full groom and he looks fantastic! We absolutely love his teddy bear cut and Laura was so lovely with him. We will definitely be coming back

Laura at Field and Grooming has dealt with my very nervous dog on many occasions and has been fantastic at putting Roxy at ease to the point that Roxy will now happily stand there a let her clip her nails. I can’t recommend her high enough. Thank you Laura. X

Laura is a top class groomer ! My boys have visited her twice now and they look, feel and smell wonderful each time, my boys come out happy and I know that Laura has not rushed to groom them and really cares for them. I highly recommend her.

Out Labradoodle has just had his second groom with Laura and it definitely won’t be the last. Laura takes time to understand your specific requirements as to how you want your dog to look. This was particularly important for us and Laura delivered. She puts the dogs at ease. Great service
I have been taking my very hairy springer spaniel to Laura since she started her business and they come back looking beautiful and smelling wonderful. I would not take my dogs anywhere else.
Laura was recommended to me by my dog walker and she’s brilliant. She’s really good with Roo and he always comes back just as I want but smelling and looking even better than I hoped. Additionally Laura even spotted a possible leg problem. Cannot recommend Laura highly enough.
We took our 6 month old cockapoo puppy to Field and Country grooming for her first groom yesterday. Laura put me at ease straight away and I knew Lily was in safe hands. The groom was exactly how we wanted it, and she smelt amazing! Will definitely be using Laura and the team every time!

My two 10-year-old Jack Russells had never been groomed before by anyone except me (badly) but in middle age, they were beginning to get rather shaggy and the hair around the house was awful. Laura clipped them both and they not only look beautiful again but were incredibly excited, leaping around for the rest of the day. Wow. Thank you, Laura
Cooper had his very first groom today at 14 weeks. Although apparently very unsure and missing his mum, he did really well. Laura has made a perfect job of him and he smells adorable. Even our cat did a double take when she saw him!! Thanks will definitely be booking again.
Poppy our Sealyham Terrier went to Laura for the first time today. Laura was brilliant and did a wonderful transformation on Poppy who now looks and smells beautiful. Thank you Laura and we'll be returning again in 5 weeks time.
Laura has the patience of a saint … my Giant Schnauzer has been visiting ever since he was a small puppy … now he’s nearly two and bounds In knocking everything flying as he goes , kisses Laura and jumps on the table ready for action … whereas my Airedale takes life a bit more slowly and sensibly!!!
