Lillys Dog Grooming has been established for 11 years now. I started out as a mobile in house groomer, then rented a table in a salon and in March 2019 opened my own Salon in Bude. 

Lilly's Dog Grooming, at Clear Space Bude, offers a calm and safe environment for your dogs to indulge in the full pamper experience. 

I am always trying to keep up to date with new grooming trends and attend seminars on a regular basis. I have also competed before and this is something id love to do again in the future. 

I worked as a pet shop assistant on Saturdays whilst still at school. There was a groomer in the shop and I knew that this was what I was meant to do. I then took an intense grooming course at 16 years of age at Cottage Canine Grooming with Kate Allardyce where I was offered an apprenticeship. I completed Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Work-based Animal Care (Dog Grooming) 

I started my Level 3 Dog Grooming qualification in 2016 but a move down South and starting a family putting things on hold. 

I received a Distinction with a Schnauzer in March 2018, Distinction with a Scottish Terrier and a Merit with a Cocker Spaniel in September 2019.

I also offer Cleany Teeth Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning and have taken the Cleany Teeth training.

I have a small little retail area where I stock some natural treats, grooming at home equipment and a few novelty bits for dogs. I'm also a Gentle Cold Pressed Stockist. 

My Jackapoo, Dolly, had major surgery in October 2022 for IVDD. Its been a bit of a rollercoaster of a recovery, strict cage rest, physio 4 times a day at home, hydrotherapy weekly, and light therapy. Although we undertook all the precautions and recommendations Dolly is still paralysed today, incontinent but living the BEST life possible on her wheels! 

Dolly's recovery has been a massive eye opener for me, I've studied IVDD to the core, also it has opened my eyes companionate handling and believe this has made me a better groomer!

I have also become a Certified Professional Groomer with the ICMG, and currently working towards Advanced Professional Groomer but need to sit my theory exams.... watch this space!
